After teasing his listeners for month’s about his latest diet, Rush Limbaugh finally came clean with the program he’s been following.

“It’s just the easiest one, and it’s the fastest. I’m 58-years-old. I never lost weight this fast, almost 90 pounds here since March 9, not even six months yet,” Limbaugh said on his radio show recently.

Limbaugh’s secret?  A Florida based company named Quick Weight Loss Centers that combines a low calorie diet and various supplements that contain appetite suppresants, protein boosters, and carb blockers.

Limbaugh revealed that while using this program, he has snuck within a couple pounds of his target rate of 210 lbs, and he acknowledged that he has no intention of abandoning the system.

“I have no desire to stop it. In fact, I might even stay on this long enough that people think I have a deadly disease,” Limbaugh joked on this show.

The conservative talk show host, who is never shy about sharing his opinions, has been at a slight loss for words trying to explain who this program works.  “I mean putting the menu together is a jigsaw puzzle every day. It would take me 45 minutes every day to tell you what the diet plan is and answer all your questions about why it works.”

What we have been able to ascertain is that Limbaugh is consuming in the ballpark of 1,500 calories per day, but he is quick to point out that the diet is not all about counting calories.

“I don’t know the caloric intake of one thing I’m eating,” he explained. ”All I know is that it adds up to about 1,500 calories.  It’s a factor, but it is the way the proteins, the complex carbs and the fats and even some fruit get put together during the course of the day.

One point Limbaugh makes is that the diet consists of groceries you would buy in the supermarket.  There are no special packages of food that need to be purchased on my different diets.  The diet consists of making sure that the wrong types of items (fats, carbs) aren’t combined in the same sitting, but the results Limbaugh has attained are nothing to laugh at.  Here’s to hoping Rush can find a way to keep those pounds from coming back.
